Bright Star

The romantic period drama of poet John Keats’ courtship with Fanny Brawn is not to be missed.  It is the most breathtaking and haunting romance I have seen in ages.  Well directed, acted, written and the cinematography is superb.  Not to be confused with a blockbuster like the most recent Pride and Prejudice.  This artistic cinematic triumph has much more depth.  It is worth watching for the scene of a room filled with butterflies or the recitation of Keats’ beautiful verse.  It is now out on DVD.  Find it.  Rent it.  Enjoy.  (5 out of 5 stars)
