Up in the Air

I saw this movie this weekend with the ‘rents.  First up I will say it was much better (i.e. much less depressing than the book).  For you out there that have seen the movie already, you’ll know that means the book must be fairly dark. [smile]  Though its not my favorite movie out there, it was fairly well written, acted, and directed.  The film revolves around the life of Ryan Bingham, a professional downsizing agent and self-proclaimed narcissist.  At its best the film reveals truths in the contemporary American middle management culture and at its worst provides dry assumptions about where fulfillment in life comes.  A good movie if only for its relevance in today’s society.  (3 out of 5 stars)
