This moving blogs thing is not as easy as I imagined it might be.  First there is the whole process of getting used to the ins and outs of a new system.  What I’ve learned is that no blogging platform (at least no free blogging platform) is perfect.  [smile] I’m missing a few Blogger effects and I’m loving some of the new WordPress features.  Oh well, such is life.

But what the frustrations of building a new blogging website really boils down to is the absence of history.  I know what you’re thinking, “Isn’t that the reason you decided to form a new blog in the first place?” And yes that is true.  I did feel the need to put aside the memories of the past two years that I’d gathered at Just Me in favor of building new memories here.  But until those new memories are created I find myself longing for the comfort of my history, the virtual heritage I created at my other site.  And excuse me for being a little existential, but I think that’s also one of the reasons I’m having a hard time figuring out which path to follow next.  Living without a clear plan and opening myself to a multitude of possibilities feels like my site archive is blank.

Hope these few words will help explain a little of the struggle I’m having getting this website up and ready to go.
